Some women are gentle and forgiving. They make excuses for the irresponsible behaviors of people and put up with much more than they should. Conversely, some women turn men who have offended them into animals. They intoxicate them via potions and draughts. They are powerful goddesses with a sorceress twist. That was Circe. She was not evil, exactly; her magic was very helpful at times. Like every temperamental element, the result depended on how you used the element. The woman who modeled for this painting has great talents, too – they’re just not as unnerving.
